Kelsey is HOME

I only have a minute, but wanted all to know Kelsey is home. There is so much to do for her, we barely have time for any thing else. And poor Keeton didn't do so well at CLC today, I think not having mama around the last several days is wearing on him. Kelsey seems to be doing well at home. She's a little stuff in her nose, especially on the left side where her feeding tube was before we switched sides. She was like this before we left the hospital so it's not new just a little worry some. Keeton was so excited when she came home yesterday. He couldn't leave her side. He kept saying "I like her mama." (Just wished he liked everyone at school today.) Will update more later when I have more time. I need a nap!!!!

Thanks for all the continued prayers. I'm praising God my baby girl is HOME. And, we measured Kelsey's belly again and it's still getting smaller just a little. It will take a couple of weeks to see a big difference, lets just hope that means her liver is getting better slowly, also. We've still praying for God's healing hands to fix that liver.

  2. Happy Homecoming Kelsey!!! What a quick transition for you all. I didn't read the blog for a couple days and about fell off my chair when I read she was coming home. She is in the perfect loving hands of her parents...although without a doubt very overwhelming for you. You are an intuitive and perceptive gal. In time, all this intricate care you are learning will become second nature. I hope your mom or someone can spend the night with you for a few weeks to give you much needed rest. So good to hear her belly is not increasing in fluid retention. Please feel free to call anytime if you are concerned about her symptoms, etc. Hopefully you will have a direct line to the MD's staff for concerns/questions. I'm assuming home health will be coming a few times a week. You can learn a great deal from them. We will continue to pray that the Lord will be pleased to continue his wonder work on her liver. We are soooo happy she is home. Try and keep in mind that our Lord Jesus will give you the strength you need for the day at hand. If he didn't forsake us when he willingly chose to pay our debt on the cross, be assured he will not leave you now. With much love and concern for you, Ivy
