Patti, You don't know me but I found your website many months ago through a friend and have been lifting your family up in prayer. I wanted you to know this because there are so many of us "strangers" out there praying. My prayer this week is that God will give you and Andy a peace in your heart and you may feel his love wrap around you and sustain you.
Lord, please work a miracle for baby Kelsey! Let the medical staff be amazed by her miraculous recovery in the coming days! Give peace, comfort, and patience to Andy and Patti as they go through each new day. Gina
Praying for God's comfort and refuge. May His peace, that passes understanding, guard your hearts and minds in the midst of this storm. Love you, Michelle & Dan
Patti & Andy, I'm so sorry that sweet baby K is not improving. It's so heartbreaking especially after everything that you all have been through. I hope you are finding comfort in eachothers arm and in Keaton's smile & laughter. I wish so much there was something we could do for you tonight. I keep you in my heart & prayers always.
Patti, we don't know each other. I was forwarded your blog from Chris Kouba at PBC where I go to church. My daughter has had 2 heart surgeries at Children's so I can empathize with you on the heart issue. If there is ANYTHING I can do...coffee, parking passes, lunch, just be present with the baby in the CVICU, please don't hesitate to email me. My prayers are with you. In reading your blog, I can tell you are an amazing woman of faith. God has something special for Kelsey, and what an honor it is for you to be her parents.
On August 4, 2009 our family was blessed with sweet baby Kelsey. Shortly after her birth we learned she had Down Syndrome. We wanted to know everything about Down Syndrome. We learned alot of wonderful amazing things about this syndrome but the one thing we wished was that the doctor who found the syndrome was name something different the Dr. Down. We talk to other parents and discovered there were a lot of up sides to having Down syndrome and that Kelsey didn't have to be a Downs baby but an "UP" baby and therefore we are a "UP" family. So Welcome to the "UP" Family: Andy, Patti, Keeton (big bro 3 1/3 yrs old) and sweet Baby Kelsey.............
On Feb 20, 2010 our Kelsey girl went to heaven. She was a beautiful, sweet baby girl who will be missed very much. This family will always be an "Up" family because of her influcence on our lives. We were blessed with an angel and Kelsey has touched our lives forever. Soon we will be united with Kelsey again in heaven and we look forward to that joyful reunion. Thank you God for bring Kelsey into our lives and blessing us beyond what we can imagine.
And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. Genesis 1:31
Tiniest Missionary
God sent His smallest missionary
a precious bundle sweet
To remind us of His perfect love
she came on angel feet
The mission required a special bond
He chose her family well
Parents with the strongest faith
God's story she had to tell
So much courage it took to stay
until her job was done
Her fragile little body ached
to return to the arms of the Son
She held on as long as she could
spreading God's message around
Through her family's faithfulness
we saw miracles abound
Our heavenly Father smiled down on her
the work on earth was done
He held out His loving arms
gathering up the little one
She left her depleted body behind
without it her spirit can soar
Behind her she leaves a legacy of love
and waits on that distant shore
Life on earth is incredibly short
soon her family will be reunited
To love and laugh and share the joy
that her visit to earth ignited
Our pain is multiplied as hers is gone
we will miss her smile and bright eyes
But we feel the warmth of the Comforter
and look to resurrection's sunrise.
May the Lord God hold you close during this difficult time.
