  7. Go forth, O Christian soul, out of this world, in the Name of God the Father almighty, Who created you; in the Name of Jesus Christ, the Son of the living God, Who suffered for you; in the Name of the Holy Ghost, Who sanctified you, in the name of the holy and glorious Mary, Virgin and Mother of God; in the name of the angels, archangels, thrones and dominions, cherubim and seraphim; in the name of the patriarchs and prophets, of the holy apostles and evangelists, of the holy martyrs, confessors, monks and hermits, of the holy virgins, and of all the saints of God; may your place be this day in peace, and your abode in Holy Sion. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.

  18. I just broke down and cried with my wife. She had no idea why until I explained it to her. We've been married for three years now and she's never seen me cry for any reason at all and it kind of weirded her out at first.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you for sharing this difficult time in your lives. It was touched a lot of people's hearts, mine especially.

God Bless your family and God Bless Baby Kelsey.....

  19. The angels are always near to those who are grieving, to whisper to them that their loved ones are safe in the hand of God.

  20. Patti & Andy,

I am so sorry for your loss. I agree with Amy that this situation has given your family an opportunity to shine in an unusual way. Your Kelsey Girl gave many people the chance to see Jesus in and through you, and I am sure her life allowed Him to work on you both in many ways. We will pray for your comfort as you walk through the most painful parts of this whole experience.

Please let us know if there will be a funeral service or memorial service for more than just family.

    Much love,
Laura (for Abraham, Abby and Andrew) Joseph

    Lamentations 3:31-33
For men are not cast off by the Lord forever. Though he brings grief, he will show compassion, so great is his unfailing love. For he does not willingly bring affliction or grief to the children of men.

    Revelation 21:4
He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.

I can barely see through my tears as I write this...what a blessing Kelsey has been for so many. She has certainly touched our lives more than you can ever know. Our entire family reads this blog...including those out of state.
May you feel the love of everyone...people you will never meet, but whose lives you have touched in a very special way. Thank you for allowing us to share in this blessed experience. May you all be blessed with comfort at this time. Sending all our love and prayers your way...

  24. She was so very, very special
And was so from the start
You held her in your arms
    But mainly in your heart

And like a single drop of rain
    That on still waters fall,
    Her life did ripples make
And touched the lives of all

She's gone to play with angels
    In heaven up above
    So keep your special memories
    And treasure them with love

    Although your darling daughter
Was with you just a while
She'll live on in your heart
    With a sweet remembered smile

  30. I met Kelsey's dad while my grandson was in surgery at Children's Medical Center. That is when I began praying for the family. When I got home, I awakened in the middle of the night and prayed for Kelsey. I also asked my group of Pray-Ers to add you in their prayers. You are still being prayed for. Your strong faith will abide.

  33. Dear Patti, Andy and Keeton,
I am so sorry you had to let sweet baby Kelsey go. She has touched so many people so deeply, and your steadfast faith has been a powerful witness to so many (many of whom you'll never even meet). I praise God for the time he gave you with Kelsey and that Kelsey is now safe in the arms of her Maker and no longer in any discomfort. Owen has been praying for Kelsey to feel better every night--I'm trying to explain to him that she's gone to be with Jesus and feels perfect now. I will pray for healing on your whole family. I love you all! Let me know if I can do anything to help.

  39. Andy and Patti,
I couldn't bring myself to post a comment last night ... I have no words ... anything I could say seems so insignificant. I'm just so sad for you! You have been such examples to everyone who knows you! How in the world do some people go through such a time without the hope that we share? Please let us know if we can do ANYTHING AT ALL, and know that we love you and are praying for you!

  40. I am so blessed to have been able to follow your little angel's last weeks of her life. What a precious child she was to touch so many lives in her short time in our world. I thank my church New World United Methodist for the chance to join in praying to give you and your family the strength to pull together for comfort and support through this adjustment. I have no doubt my angel, "Dena`e", held your angel, "Kelsey", tiny hand till she was safely in His loving arms!

    Only in His name,

  41. Kelsey could not have been in a more loving, caring family than yours.

Although her struggle is over, new ones now begin for the three of you. There is nothing that can be said to comfort you except to tell you to seek solace in God, family and friends. There you will find the love and strength to help you cope with this terrible tragedy.

Even in her fragile state she was a girl that provided and showed such strength personally and through her family. Without words she was able to tell such a wonderful story of God's love. Thank you Kelsey for sharing with us all- we will miss you but never forget you and will see you again one day. 44. Andy and Patti,

Our hearts are broken for you. We are praying for you and your family. Sweet Kelsey is in God's hands now and 100% healed. Take comfort in that.
We send our prayers. We are so amazed and inspired by how you have lived out your faith and trusted God throughout these past 6 difficult months. We pray that God would encourage you and allow you to meet non-Christians that have witnessed you both and therefore witnessed what it means to be a Christian and rely on God. You have been the face of God to many who do not know Him.
Our hearts are broken with you.
We also will be praying specifically for Keeton. It is hard for adults to understand. It is even harder for children to understand. We pray for friends to step in and help love on Keeton and play with him giving you time to grieve.
    We are your biggest fans!

  47. Tiniest Missionary

    God sent His smallest missionary
    a precious bundle sweet
To remind us of His perfect love
    she came on angel feet

The mission required a special bond
    He chose her family well
    Parents with the strongest faith
God's story she had to tell

So much courage it took to stay
    until her job was done
    Her fragile little body ached
to return to the arms of the Son

She held on as long as she could
    spreading God's message around
    Through her family's faithfulness
    we saw miracles abound

Our heavenly Father smiled down on her
the work on earth was done
He held out His loving arms
    gathering up the little one

She left her depleted body behind
without it her spirit can soar
Behind her she leaves a legacy of love
and waits on that distant shore

Life on earth is incredibly short
soon her family will be reunited
To love and laugh and share the joy
that her visit to earth ignited

Our pain is multiplied as hers is gone
we will miss her smile and bright eyes
But we feel the warmth of the Comforter
    and look to resurrection's sunrise.

    Andy, Patti & Keeton,

Just wanted you guys to know I'm praying for you everyday and I know little missy is enjoying the room that HE prepared for her! I'm praising God that Kelsey's sweet little body is healed. She went to see Jesus with a pink bow in her hair and a smile on her face--and you know bows are a big deal for me :)

I also wanted to let you know that everyone here in the CVICU has been working on finishing her necklace--I have a surprise! Miss Kelsey was an amazingly courageous girl, and you are amazing parents.

    We love you very much!

I am so sorry that sweet baby K is no longer with you. But today she is happy. She is running and dancing and playing & laughing and waiting for you all to be together again. And until then she will be your gardian angel, watching over you always.

Families are forever. I really do believe this and I know you will get to be with Kelsey again. (((((hugs)))))

I just wanted you to know we are thinking about you and praying for you all right now. She is such an inspiration, a fighter and an overall beautiful little girl. I know she is with our Lord and that Penny and Aunt Nell are also wrapping her in their arms and spoiling her with love and hopefully some fried pies.

I have never seen such strength in a family and you are all truly inspirational.
